Rena Buckley is a regular and very welcome visitor and past pupil. Rena is a Cork Camogie and Football Player and winner of All Ireland Medals. We love when Rena visits with her Silverware and we dress up in our Red and White!
Eoin Cadogan came to our school on April 6th 2011.
He plays football and hurling for Cork. He told us about how hard he worked to achieve his dream, how important it is to practise and said one of his favourite things about playing sport is making lots of friends. He brought the Sam Maguire Cup which Cork won in 2010. They beat Down in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. Other Cork Players to visit our school include Tom Kenny, Joe Deane and The Cork Ladies Footballers. Christy Cooney also visited and spoke about GAA.

The Army Band are regular visitors to our school and we really enjoy their uplifting musical performances as well as lots of audience participation!

Margaret McCarthy, a local girl from Dripsey entertains us with some very talented dancing while playing the fiddle! (maggiemccarthy.ie)

During 2009, the school fundraised for the Irish Guide Dogs Association. During the fundraising week we had a visit from two guide dogs, Flo and Yoko. The children enjoyed the week and learned about how important each of the five senses are. They also explored the difficulties encountered by blind people and how they deal with these difficulties on a daily basis.
