Christmas Shows 2011

Photo Gallery

This year Infants performed their own Nativity Play in the Halla. They enjoyed their time on 'centre stage' and displayed potential as huge stars for the future!
On Dec 20th Berrings National School staged “Scrooge! A Ghost of a Chance”. This entertaining adaptation of Dickens' “A Christmas Carol” made a perfect Christmas production. The children from 1st to 6th classes had great fun learning their lines, performing on stage, painting backdrops, organising props, discussing costumes, dancing, singing and playing instruments. 4th class supported by third class comprised the acting and speaking cast .5th and 6th class sang like a host of angels as they assembled in their red tabbards to form the main choir. 1st Class terrified the audience (as well as Scrooge!) in their roles as “Marley's Ghosts”.The children from 2nd Class let their inhibitions go as they joined Fezziwig's party and jazzed the night away with their songs “The Fezziwig Rock & Roll” and “Fezziwig's Christmas Carol”. A big thank you to the parents who have been very supportive in providing costumes, props and general assistance.
